ERECTOR SETS

Erector Sets were first patented by Alfred Carlton Gilbert and sold by The Mysto Manufacturing Company of New Haven, Connecticut in 1913. The company was reorgainzed as the A.C. Gilbert Company in 1916.

Erector quickly became the most popular construction toy in the United States, possibly because it was the only construction set at the time to come with a motor.
