Greensboro Historical Society 2023 Calendar of Events
The GHS Museum continues to follow Vermont state guidelines, Greensboro town guidelines as well as the advice of its board as to how temporary reflect health protocols for public activities.
Currently, the GHS Museum will be open from July 4 through August 31:
Tues/Wed/Thurs - 10:30am-2:30pm
Friday - 2:30pm-5:30pm
Sat - 10-12pm
We will update our calendar as changes occur.

Winter Meeting Presentation Subject: "Skiing in Greensboro" Learn about the history of nordic skiing at the Highland Lodge plus Greensboro’s answer to alpine skiing: the Gebbie ski tow! Sandy Gebbie will talk about their downhill operation, which opened in 1960 with a rope tow run by a tractor. Willie Smith will recount tales of nordic skiing over the decades and describe the growth of the trail network leading to and from the Lodge. |

Our self-guided history explorer walks from the past few years are resting this summer; but the information below can still be printed-out to learn about some of the older buildings in Greensboro Village and Greensboro Bend. Locations, building 'names,' and architectural styles and elements are shown in the printable brochures.
Those whose interest has been piqued can learn much more in the GHS publication, Architectural Walking Guide to Greensboro Village, which contains interesting information about many of the buildings in the tour and is for sale at the GHS bookshop and can be checked-out from the Greensboro Free Library.
