SLINKY

The Slinky was invented by naval engineer Richard James in the early 1940s. it can perform a number of tricks, including traveling down a flight of steps or appearing to levitate for a time after it has been dropped. In its first 60 years, Slinky sold 300 million units. The original toy was constructed of metal wire, later plastic Slinkys appeared on the market.
