CLUE

Clue, or Cluedo in England, is a murder mystery-themed game, originally named "Murder!" It was invented in England during World War II to play during air raid drills in underground bunkers. It was patented in 1947, but due to post-war shortages, the game was not officially launched until 1949 when it was published in England and in the United States.

Players move around the game board (representing the rooms of a mansion) as one of the game's six charcacters, collecting clues as to which subject murdered the victim Dr. Black (Mr. Boddy in North American versions), with which weapon, and in what room.
