DOMINOES

The earliest mention of Dominoes is from 17th century China. The game may have been brought to europe by Italian missionaries in China in the 18th century.

A domino set (also called a deck or pack) has 28 dominoes, sometimes called bones, cards, tiles, tickets, stones or spinners. It is like playing cards or dice because a variety of games can be played with a set. Most domino games are blocking games; the objective is to empty one's hand while blocking the opponent from so doing.

Another use for dominoes involves standing them on end in long lines so that when the first tile is pushed, it topples the second, which topples the third, resulting in all the tiles falling.
